» MMS (Multi-Media
Messaging) To use
picture messaging, you will need to add a configuration
to
your phone.
New BT Mobile customers
You will automatically get sent a text message containing the configuration
that you'll need to add to your phone so that you can use the BT picture messaging
service. This will arrive just one day after you have activated your SIM.
When
you get this message select 'save' or 'accept' to transfer the configuration
to your handset.
If for any reason you do not pick up this text message,
or if you accidentally delete it, call BT Mobile
and ask them to re-send the configuration text message.
Existing BT Mobile customers
Call BT Mobile to say that
you want to use our picture messaging service on
your existing handset, we can make this easy by
sending the necessary configuration in a text message.
When
you get this message select 'save' or 'accept'
to transfer the configuration to your handset.
Activate
picture messaging
You activate picture messaging
by sending your first picture.
You will only be able to receive a picture message
on your handset once you have sent a picture message
from your own phone. Until then you will be alerted
of any picture messages sent to you, through a text message giving a web
address
where you can pick up your picture.
To send your activation picture message:
- Select the MMS (Multimedia
Messaging) function on your handset menu
- Take a picture using your
phone's camera function; select an image from your
phone's image library;
or pick an audio file (recorded on your
phone). Alternatively, if you don't yet have a camera
attachment and your new phone doesn't yet have
any
images
in its library, just move on to the next
point below
- Write some text (optional)
Note: If you don't have a picture to send it is
important that you still send some text
using the MMS function
- Send your picture and
or text message to either a mobile phone or
an email address
